About me

I help both users and organisations understand customer needs and create digital solutions for the business in order to increase customer satisfaction and deliver value to businesses.

Discovery and business insights

Organise and participate in discussions with clients, stakeholders and customers to understand and define project vision, purpose, strategic directives, and priorities.  These presentations are designed to foster consensus and commitment, providing a platform for stakeholders to ask questions, provide feedback, and ultimately, buy into the proposed solutions. By facilitating open and transparent communication, we build trust and ensure that everyone feels invested in the project's success.

Data driven insights

Utilizing data to discover insights and inform design thinking is a crucial aspect of creating impactful solutions. By analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, I uncover patterns, trends, and user behaviors that provide a deep understanding of the problem space. This data-driven approach enables me to identify pain points, user needs, and opportunities for innovation. I then translate these insights into actionable design strategies, ensuring that our solutions are not only creative but also grounded in real-world evidence. By continuously iterating based on data, I refine the designs to achieve optimal user experiences and drive meaningful results.

Research/ Design validation

Proposing, planning, and conducting user testing activities is essential for validating design solutions and involves systematically gathering user feedback to identify areas for improvement, allowing me to iteratively refine and enhance the designs to better meet user needs and expectations.

Collaborating in an Agile/SCUM Environment

Working as part of an agile/SCUM delivery team, the process was dynamic and iterative. Collaboration was key. Regular reviews with the technology and engineering teams ensured that every design element was evaluated for technical feasibility and buildability. This collaborative approach was crucial in identifying potential technical challenges early on, allowing us to adjust designs before they reached the development stage.

Creating low to high fidelity prototypes, pixel-perfect designs, applications, mobile-resposive and native iOS, Android

With feedback and insights from the engineering team, I meticulously refined the designs, ensuring they were pixel-perfect and ready for development. High-fidelity prototypes from SaaS application to web/ mobile (native iOS and Android apps) are crafted to provide a clear and detailed representation of the final product. These prototypes were not just visually appealing but also interactive, allowing stakeholders to experience the design’s functionality firsthand.

Design systems

By meticulously aligning each design element with established guidelines and leveraging the Design System, I maintain a unified visual language that reinforces brand identity. Furthermore, staying abreast of current design trends and emerging design system patterns allows me to innovate within the framework, incorporating modern aesthetics and functionality that resonate with users while preserving brand fidelity.  A few of the design systems that I have word with are each brands, digital.nsw, salesforce, Equifax and many more.

Handing Off to Developers

Once the high-fidelity prototypes were perfected, it was time to hand them off to the developers. But my role didn’t end there. Ensuring a smooth transition from design to development was paramount. I worked closely with the development team, providing detailed design specifications and guidelines to maintain design integrity during the implementation phase.

Supporting Implementation in HTML/CSS

Beyond delivering the designs, I played an active role in assisting developers with the implementation of components in HTML and CSS. This hands-on support involved troubleshooting, refining code, and ensuring that the final product matched the high-fidelity prototypes down to the last detail. By bridging the gap between design and development, we were able to create a seamless and consistent user experience.
